How does a Kwikot geyser work?

Kwikot geysers, like many other types of geysers, operate on the principle of heating water using one or more heating elements. Here’s how a typical Kwikot geyser works:

  1. Water Storage Tank: A Kwikot geyser consists of a cylindrical tank made of durable materials such as stainless steel or enamel-coated steel. This tank is insulated to minimize heat loss and maintain water temperature.
  1. Heating Elements: Inside the geyser tank are one or more heating elements, typically made of copper or stainless steel. These heating elements are connected to an electrical power supply and are responsible for heating the water inside the tank.
  1. Thermostat: The geyser is equipped with a thermostat, which controls the temperature of the water inside the tank. The thermostat monitors the water temperature and activates or deactivates the heating elements as needed to maintain the desired temperature setting.
  1. Cold Water Inlet: Cold water from the municipal supply or a storage tank enters the geyser through a cold water inlet pipe. The cold water fills the bottom of the geyser tank, displacing any hot water that has been used.
  1. Heat Transfer: When the heating elements are activated, they generate heat, which is transferred to the surrounding water in the tank. The water at the bottom of the tank is heated first, and as it becomes hotter, it rises to the top of the tank, where it is drawn off through a hot water outlet pipe.
  1. Hot Water Outlet: The hot water outlet pipe is connected to the top of the geyser tank and allows hot water to be drawn off for use in showers, baths, sinks, and other fixtures.
  1. Safety Features: Kwikot geysers are equipped with various safety features to prevent overheating, pressure buildup, and other potential hazards. These may include pressure relief valves, high limit switches, and temperature sensors to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Overall, a Kwikot geyser works by heating water inside a storage tank using electric heating elements and maintaining the desired temperature setting using a thermostat. The heated water is then available for use whenever hot water is needed in the household.
